Hi Gail. Just checking in with you. Peter and I want to tell you and let you know How much we love Ty. He is comming into his own with us. Wow what a powerful smart smart horse he is. Just incredable. His turning, weaving, stopping, .. he’s tight when going in circles. straight as an arrow. Follows my comands no problem. He’s still a quick one.. but he’s get much better on the trail. He’s tried and true. If I want to go on a trail ride alone.. I take Ty. Izzy is young and tends to want to find things that would spook her lol. She is more a follower and ty just loves to lead. There are times I go on trail with a group and will have him stay more in the back just to get used to not always being first. He loves to be in front.
I’m working with the Brenda Imus Bit with Ty and he does real well with it. We still use the tye down on him like you recomended. I use that with Izzy too. I Switched up bits on Izzy and am using a thin twisted snaffle bit. She is very soft on the mouth and doesn’t need much with that.. but gosh does she stop on command now…
How is Nemo doing? We think of him often and is always in our conversations at the ranch. He is missed. Please keep us up to date on him.. He is always in our hearts.
Would you believe the season seems to be changing already. I noticed in the woods here on trail many changes comming along for fall. Cant believe how fast time flys.
Peter and I are very much enjoying our trail rides together. We count our blessings everyday with what a fantastic horse you found for us. He is such a gentile horse when given a small sugar cube. He gently presses his front teeth on the palm of your hand and loves to break it in half.. then turns the rest into pouder and licks it off.. Such a sweet sweet boy he is.
Keep in touch
Cindy
