Good Start to the New Year

Stone Creek Stables is off to a good start for 2010! Sorry I havent had my website updated lately, but we have been so busy with horses and the cold, snow, rain and muddy weather.
We have started 6 young horses in the last 30 days. It seems folks are starting to look at horse to purchase now. We have sold 4 this weekend.
We have 8 trail geldings that are being tuned up and have 3 yearlings left. Our last baby will be weaned in a month and we will offer him for sale as well. Please watch are site for the updates. I will try to get them up later this week. Gail

Freeze Branding Horses

We were invited to Gordon View Farm, home of Marty and Lori Gordon to have horses “freeze branded”. I have posted the pictures of this event under Horses For Sale . We had Kat, Sunny and Wolf branded. It did not bother the horses at all to have this done. I did not see one horse flinch, fight, get scared or even move. Very interesting and I cannot wait to see the finished product when the hair grows back in about 2 months.

If you are looking for a great horse, Gail does a fantastic job of matching the right horse with the right person. I have bought two horses from Gail in the past year – Melting Snow Blue for myself, and Watermelon Willie, a horse for my son. I have really enjoyed my walking horses-these were my first walkers, and they are some of the best horses I have ever had. Blue and I have had many great trail rides with Gail and friends. Whoa!

Just wanted to thank you folks at Stone Creek Stables for a great time! Who would have thought you could have me riding a horse in minutes. Sure I have 430 horses under the hood of my big truck, but to actually rein one in…unbelieveable!

I hope everyone enjoyed the beer can chicken and mango baked beans I made. We need to do this again this summer! You bring the horses and I’ll bring the food! Now if we could only get someone to bring the band…maybe y’all could teach me how to 2-step too!

New Baby!

Early Easter Sunday Morning, a new baby Tennessee Walking Horse, born to the Silver Dollar Mare, sire is Push Me Bold. The new baby was foaled on Push Me Bold’s birthday. How cool is this? Born on Easter and on her Daddy’s Birthday! Wow. We have high hopes for this girl!
