Hi Gail. Just checking in with you. Peter and I want to tell you and let you know How much we love Ty. He is comming into his own with us. Wow what a powerful smart smart horse he is. Just incredable. His turning, weaving, stopping, .. he’s tight when going in circles. straight as an arrow. Follows my comands no problem. He’s still a quick one.. but he’s get much better on the trail. He’s tried and true. If I want to go on a trail ride alone.. I take Ty. Izzy is young and tends to want to find things that would spook her lol. She is more a follower and ty just loves to lead. There are times I go on trail with a group and will have him stay more in the back just to get used to not always being first. He loves to be in front.
I’m working with the Brenda Imus Bit with Ty and he does real well with it. We still use the tye down on him like you recomended. I use that with Izzy too. I Switched up bits on Izzy and am using a thin twisted snaffle bit. She is very soft on the mouth and doesn’t need much with that.. but gosh does she stop on command now…
How is Nemo doing? We think of him often and is always in our conversations at the ranch. He is missed. Please keep us up to date on him.. He is always in our hearts.
Would you believe the season seems to be changing already. I noticed in the woods here on trail many changes comming along for fall. Cant believe how fast time flys.
Peter and I are very much enjoying our trail rides together. We count our blessings everyday with what a fantastic horse you found for us. He is such a gentile horse when given a small sugar cube. He gently presses his front teeth on the palm of your hand and loves to break it in half.. then turns the rest into pouder and licks it off.. Such a sweet sweet boy he is.
Keep in touch
Cindy

I was looking for your email address to send an update, but couldn’t find it, good thing you kept mine! He is doing great. I’ve ridden him a few times and he is really getting the hang of it now. He has a great gait and wants to canter, so he should be perfect for versatility. He’s putting on some weight too, he’s been out on good pasture. Once he gets a little more settled in here I’ll hopefully start him on some versatility stuff.

I e-mailed you before but I guess it didn’t go through. Anyway wanted to tell you about Buzzes big adventure. 4 days in the blue range wilderness in az on the new mex border. Tom rode his mule with two pack mules with me and Buzz following close behind. What an adventure. We were going down into and out of places you could hardly walk , let alone ride. Buzz did fine including a one foot wide shelf with a 30 foot drop-off. I try ed to take a picture of it but when we started over it I thought I had better pay attention so didn’t get any pictures.
I was getting ready to feed tonight and was working with him a little outside the corral and noticed one shoe heel was bent down real bad so thought I would get a hammer from the garage and try to bend it back so just dropped the lead rope and headed for the garage. I got to the work bench and heard a noise behind me. Buzz was in the garage and was real interested in all the stuff on the bench!!! What a character.

Peter Hill and their new DeJaBlu horse “TY”. His wife Cindy, sent this email:
Hello Gail,
I’m sending you some pics of Peter on Ty last Friday out on the trail. Those two sure look good together. I took Ty out alone on the trail Sunday. He was fantastic. He is… such a good horse. Doesn’t spook at a thing. The train doesn’t even phase him when it passes by. He sure has a lot of get up and go. This little guy loves to keep his gait going. Just a joy. Cindy
